Dave - why dont you do them like the 25Y headlights? They dont stand out as much as the Joey or InPro headlights. Less work too since all you have to mask off is the entire inside reflector part and just paint the outer section.

 

Of course this is my opinion only but I think the InPro style lights would be too dark on your car. Just as your chrome housing headlights stand out now the black ones would stand out just as much. Painting just the outside section like the 25Y GTI gives a slight smoke look without being too dark.

Actually I would think it easier than the Joey mod. Once you have the lights apart you just spray the outer ring. With the Joey mod you have to tape off each seperate reflector perfectly and hope not to have any overspray.
