jack 40
stands 40
damn decent torque wrench 120
repair manual 20-50
4 puck kit from TCS(good peoples) 250
timing belt kit (including tensioner) 60
S-belt..dunno 30?

let's say 600 tops including parts and tools. Plus the infinite knowledge gained from working on your own car and overcoming "snags"

edit: and if you decide to do it yourself... Just when you think the tranny is impossible to get out, chances are it's one of two things, or both...passenger side CV flange caught on block, or diff housing caught on tranny mount bracket. Also, if you release the 3 lower bolts that hold the strut on the driver side to the lower a-arm, you can swing the driver CV completely out of the way

oh, and it's a 8mm triple square bit that is used to remove the cv's from the diff flanges. Only place i've seen that sells it anymore is napa on florida. It's on the sales floor and they call it a "serrated edge" bit. If you ever ask for a triple square they just look at you like you're from mars
