Default Keyless Entry

Anyone know if i can program my keyless entry with Vag-Com. I have a remote for my car but it has never worked. The light on the remote comes on when i press the buttons just nothing happens.

Or am i going to have to goto the dreaded stealership to get this done?

i only have 1 key...

but i was able to get vag-com to work but it wont let me save the settings because i dont have a registered version of vag-com. I may just buy a activation key from ross-tech because that would be cheaper because im wanting to buy a 2nd key.

ive always just used it to scan for fault codes.
