ok im looking in to getting a 98 to 01 a4 i know nothing about them only i like them so with that said i have been starting to do research but my main question is how easy r they to up grade is there many parts avalible and can they produce alot of power

second whats the max boost u can get with the ko3 turbo and what would be the horsepower range thatk u

 

ok, so with all that im guessing ur getting a 1.8t..
1.8t's are pretty much performance happy.. you can replace just about every party with an after market one.
max boost is 22lb's. ive heard of ppl pushing a little more. but 22lb's is pretty much a ko3s's max out put..
as far as power, ive heard of ppl getting 300hp. but thats relativly hard, and takes alot of work to do, to just keep the stock turbo..
so max hp with a ko3s would probably be about 240ish, give or take

 

The sky's the limit, the 1.8T is a great motor to tune and can put out power levels up to 600-700whp, of course with lots of work. The stock turbo with all bolts ons on an AWD A4 will max out shy of 200awhp. The stock block can take somewhere around 330awhp, anything higher than that and you will need to swap out at least the rods. Plenty of bolt on turbo kits to get you to the stock bottom end power levels and also plenty of options for one off setups if in search of 350whp +

My A4's an 04' but here's an idea of where you can go with the measly A4, Im in the neighborhood of 400-450whp, havent been to the dyno yet
