Its something that people do for some reason. I'll never do it. I've seen too many paint jobs get screwed up because of it.

yeah keeps from rocks chipping up ur bumper

If you manage to fuck your paint up with painters tape then you have cheap ass paint or kick ass tape. I have taped up the entire front of a car before with no damage to any of the paint whatsoever. I've only ever heard of leaving the tape on too long, making it hard to get off.

We got bored and figured if we were going to tape the car up to drive to georgia for a track day we might as well make it look bad ass.
