was on Motorvision. It was pretty sweet. They showed it running around their test track. They also said vw has a 3.2 liter v6 waiting. I wonder if it is a larger version of the 2.8l VR6?

I think thats the 24v VR6. Supposed to be out in the 2002.5 model year. VW advertises 204 hp out of the box. It also has a 6 speed tranny! If I had $30000 Id have one badass modded GTI!

The 24V 201hp VR6 coming out is still the 2.8L just with more valves. The 3.2L that is in the works has a slightly larger bore and a stroker crank. It is still based on the VR6 design. Thats not suppose to arrive until 2003-2004 (Ill believe it when I see it).

Has anyone seen the 25th Anniversary GTI on VWVortex? Now thats pretty sweet looking car. Their trying to get it brought over to the US. Its got 180hp 1.8T real Recaro seats 18 BBS rims bigger brakes (i think) body kit lower suspension and 6 speed! If this thing came over before the 24V VR6 I think I would be tempted over to the 1.8T camp.
