There were something like 3000 Sciroccos that came from the Factory as a special edition only for one year in the late 80s. It was called the Callaway edition. Callaway made turbo setups for the Scirocco well before they were ever doing them for larger American cars. If you came across one of these in a scrap yard every piece of it is worth its weight in gold. Even the seats and badges.

I just happen to have one. Its an 82 mono wiper. Its not original. I put g-60 block in and a different big ass turbo but I kept the exhaust manifold. I have the Callaway valve cover and steering wheel as well as all of the Callaway badged VDO gauges.
It didnt come with the Callaway interior....someone replaced it with red cloth. The car is hard to tune but fun to drive when its on. I will try to take a pic tomorrow.
I dont know that you will find any in the bone yard.

Its grey. I dont know if youve seen it. I have to change the head gasket. If you see Josh...I know he likes to eat your food so you will probably see him some time soon... tell to call me. I not pissed at him I just want the clutch he was suppose to buy for me. Also I have his fuel distributor and harness.
Gilbert told me you had to replace a lot of parts on the C. I saw the race were you pulled on Carlos. Sweet!
