Im thinking of getting a 96' Audi A4. Went and looked at the car and all was great except the a/c didnt work. Sounded like the compressor turned on but didnt do squat. How much do you think itd run to fix it if it was the compressor? how about just the belt? and are there any shops here that strictly deal with Audis etc. I havent ever worked on an Audi so I would have no idea how to fix that thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

So are Hondas lol (parts at least). Just wanted a ballpark price and if I should get it or not. Its got 127k and Id only have it until September..

Just dont want to make a mistake. Anyone want to come check the car out with me again? ha ha

I just want a sleek, 5 speed car, because in a few months Im going to have to be driving an auto (possibly) prius.

lol audi's are a crapload more to fix then honduh's .... if you need to replcace the compresor your looking at about 500 bucks just for the compressor plus labor unless you decide to install it yourself...


does it blow at all? the blower motor could have taken a crap too....

 

yeah if you buy an audi expect to fork out some cash. if you fix the compressor then something else expensive will go bad. its the price you pay for the car. i would just say dont buy it if your on a tight budget. the thing is even the smallest things become expensive because the parts usually are. sucks......
