found in a used car lot a dirty as hell scirocco with a red Turbo moniker on it did they even make them with turbos???

There were no factory turbo Siroccos. The only factory turbos are the new 1.8Ts.

VW didnt make a turbo Rocco from the factory but an option from the dealer was a Callaway turbo system. Did you look under the hood? The systems are really out dated. Its turbo technology from the late 70s early 80s.

No I didnt look under the hood but since I saw the car I have done a little digging on the internet and also found the info about the Calloway Scirocco this car did not look like it had the stripes or anything but Ill take another look at it tonight.

Plus the fact that a Calloway Scirocco is somewhat of a collecters car makes it highly doubtful you would find it in a used car lot. The car was hard enough to get a hold of new that most of the original owners either still have them in storage or theyve been wrecked.

I give you VW guys permission to whip me next time you see me... it wasnt a Scirocco at all and even worse.. it wasnt even a VW... After cleaning it off to the point where I could actually read what it was the words Isuzu Impulse Turbo appeared...

Ouch!!!! Actually you are close Karman designed the Impulse for VW but they didnt like it so he sold the design to Isuzu. I think that is how the story goes. Thanks for the info Mopar!
