If you find a 2000 or 2001 GLI, I'll crown you the King of England.

lol yeah there hard to find but i did find several 2003's and 2005's that im looking at.... im still not 100% sure if i want to go from a GTI to a GLI. I dont need a 4 door car i just think it will be a nice change... i am kinda thinking about possibly removing my apr stage 3+ kit for the new car, but dont know if i wanna deal with this hassle..,..

They're not hard to find, they are impossible to find as the GLI didn't come out until 02.5. My advice, pick up a used R32. I miss mine, it was such a fun car to drive.

Which GLI would are you considering, the 24v vr6 (02.5-04) or the 1.8t (04.5-05)?

I had a 24v 03 GLI, it was a great daily driver in my opinion, but not much more than that. The 1.8t is a nice car too, but no any better than the VR6 model. If I had to choose between a GTI and a GLI, I would choose a GTI.
