They've been sharing parts for years, actually. The original PL block used the same crank and specs as some plymouth /dodge 4 cyl's years back. Different flywheel mounts, obviously.

There was also rumors of Chrysler using the Polo as a econo car for Dodge, but it never panned out.

hmm what about on Chrysler and the freightliner models, since those are mercedes rebrands, since that ended, would Chrysler be using the transporter in the US instead for later models?
