Default 2.0 coolant flush

ok guys im gonna be doing it this weekend or next. just wanna run my ideas through you guys to make sure theres no concerns.

i have to replace a coolant hose, one that goes into the flange from the heater core, anyways i bought that hose, and a brand new flange that will go on. and i also have coolant. right now there is universal coolant in it, but i bought the right stuff now, g12. i figured while messing with coolant, i was gonna chance my thermostat also, now heres my basic idea. can i just remove that flange, and remove thermostat, then just striaght up take a hose to the flange hole and it will make its way through engine and out the thermostat hole? that was the over all game plan.

and then i would obviously flush radiator and so on and so forth

just let me know if what im saying sounds logical.

The thermostat is a PITA for such a little part.

If its not bad i wouldent replace it.

you have to take down the PS pump and what not.
