I'm guessing a vacuum leak combined w/ air/fuel ratio/delivery problems. Just a shot in the dark.

Good guess. There was a vac. leak. I also replaced my coi pack with an msd one and replaced the wires and spark plugs. i think my gap was to close on the old ones. It still running a little rich, but a least it goes over 4000 rpms and will spool with out bogging out.
