00 jeta help!!!!
my 00 jetta ( 2.0) is makin this sound ( like something rubbin on somethin) i dunno how to describe it .... and it keeps going since the moment i start the car and also while im driving it, but what i just found out yesterday is that the sound ( that comes from where the p/s, ac, starter pulleys are), it decreases when i turn the AC on , im not saying it dissapears but its way lower than when u have it off ...
i replaced the belt tensioner pulley thinkin that might solve my problem, but its still making that annoying sound ... any suggestion on what it might be ... thanks a lot .....

i found out it was the ac compressor clutch bearing but i dont know where to get the bearing from ... they just seem to sell the compressor but not the bearing by itself ... any advice would be really appreciated ... thanks a lot
got the bearing out and put some grease in it so it wont make that nasty sound , it seems to be good but i dont know how long its gonna last... lol
anyone has one laying around? anyone with a broken ac compressor? lol
thanks..... i wonder if a compressor from an mk3 has the same clutch bearing ? does anyobdy know?

just don't rig it up bc a/c work can be very expensive in general. and no one really likes working with german cars so be careful with what you do. but i would recommend a new compressor, not remanufactored or used, brand new oe part not aftermarket either. i see cars come in for a/c all the time at my shop and oe parts seem to be the best bet. get it right the first time and not have to play with it over and over.

thanks for the advice , ohh my ac works great i just want to get a used one so i replace the clutch ( with the bearing) ,cuz im not thinkin of swapping the compressor just the clutch and bearing so i dont have to deal with rechargin the freon or anything ....
