Default 00 jeta help!!!!

my 00 jetta ( 2.0) is makin this sound ( like something rubbin on somethin) i dunno how to describe it .... and it keeps going since the moment i start the car and also while im driving it, but what i just found out yesterday is that the sound ( that comes from where the p/s, ac, starter pulleys are), it decreases when i turn the AC on , im not saying it dissapears but its way lower than when u have it off ...
i replaced the belt tensioner pulley thinkin that might solve my problem, but its still making that annoying sound ... any suggestion on what it might be ... thanks a lot .....

just don't rig it up bc a/c work can be very expensive in general. and no one really likes working with german cars so be careful with what you do. but i would recommend a new compressor, not remanufactored or used, brand new oe part not aftermarket either. i see cars come in for a/c all the time at my shop and oe parts seem to be the best bet. get it right the first time and not have to play with it over and over.
