no reverse

well my mkIII jetta wont stay in reverse it grinds if i go over 1 mph its missing a shift linkage bushing could this be all thats wrong it grinds really loud if i go over like 1 mph

Could be the bushing. If the shifter is misaligned (because of the missing bushing), you might not be getting it fully into reverse.

i figured hahahha looks like im gunna spend 3 bucks at volkswagen for a new one
