What do you have left on the swap? If you use the ECU, and wiring that came with the motor, than it should pretty much should be a straight forward swap.

I mean Im far in the swap... to a point where I just don't know what the wiring needs done... and a few mod's that I don't know about. The engine is in, all wiring is "in" just sort of a mess... airbox needs mod'd and put in along with the downpipe and all my cooling setup...

Wiring is always a pain! That why when i pull something apart i label it. But when you say you have the wiring "in" do you mean everything is connected or you have the wiring in place and your confused to where it goes... And where are you located cuz it would be a lot understand in person...

Everything is essentially connected... the main problem is the two different style of fuses. I.e Old 84 wiring harness uses an individual pin for each wire, hard wired into the back of the fuse box, and the "newer" 89 jetta harness of using with the 16v has the pins going into switches, which then go into the back of the fuse panel... So right now I have both fuse boxes...

I am in Lakeland.

I've been posting at vwvortex for along time now, what I think I need is some practical help from someone who has done this before hands on... I know it won't take much to get this thing going, no more than 1-2 days tops.
