Default mk3 window motors

Alright after getting the driver's side window regulator and motor out today, i found out that the regulator was fine. The gear inside the motor warped somehow and the smaller part that fits into the regulator broke. So i am wondering if the window motors are universal, as in i can take one from any other door and it will work on the driver's door. I'm pretty sure they are, i just wanted to double check before buying a motor from somewhere.
Also, if anyone has a motor or knows of a place in the tampa area i can pick one up from, please post up.

must be a mk4 thing because the driver's front door motor isn't in the car at the moment and all the other windows work.
i really only need that plastic gear part, so a motor from any door will work anyway
