Default 2000 S4

Im thinking about picking a 2000 S4 with 69k on in... I don't know much about these cars so help is appreciated! I need to know what service should be done to this car already, or what service is going to need to be done soon. He's asking $13,900 for it and it is in immaculant (sp?) condition... Thanks in advance guys!

Ask if the timing belt service (replacemnt) has been done yet. Be prpepared to shell out lots of money when things go wrong, and things WILL go wrong. Kyle will probably shed a little more light on that for you.

check - timing belt, water pump, turbos, and misc stuff like CV joints, o2 sensors, bypass valves. If all of those are good than 13k is a good deal.

The cars are great but as you just read from Bisquitman there are things you need to look for. Rather than spell them out for you here I am going to give you some links where it is already done for you.
Audi S4 B5 Buyers Guide PDF - Audi-Sport.net
The above link is a buyers guide for the S4 off of Audi-Sport.net, it is full of good info

Audizine Forums - B5 S4/RS4

VWvortex Forums: S4 & RS 4 (B5)

AudiWorld Forums: S4 / RS4 (B5 Platform) Discussion

This car is considered a B5 for it's platform. There were some changes from the 01 to the 01.5 which cause a lot of people to shy away from the 00 and the 01.

I purchased my 01.5 in June and a friend just found his 2 weeks ago.

Let me know if you have any specific questions
