power locks

power locks

are the power locks supposed to go up and down real slow....or are mine messed up???......thanks....btw i have a 97 jetta jlx

The power locks are operated by an air pump in the trunk which inflates little air actuators at the doors. They arent the fastest things in the world to begin with, but if the hose system gets a leak, they get alot slower.

Yea, they are pretty slow to begin with. How slow are your's?

my guess is they take about 2 and half seconds or so to go from bottom up or top down
