Sorry. I don't even have OBD1, let alone any use for some fancy equipment. But there is a guy in the FS section w/ the VAGCOM & laptop. You might see if he can do a "testing" scan for you.

yeah i recommend that no one ever goes to a discount auto or anything like that to get your cars checked. it deleted all my codes after it read them, so my check engine light went off and the dealer had a hard time finding out what was wrong. i dont think the dealer charges to check anyway.

When accelerating the car will jerk, pretty hard, as if you were pumping the gas. But if you gun it and just accelerate full bore, it will not do this.

The car will then die, but not cut off die. Just lose all power and sit idle at 1000rpms with the EPC and ASR lights on. If you push the gas pedle, nothing happens, you gain about 100-300rpms but nothing happens. You then have to turn the car off then back on to be able to drive again."

I scanned the car with a shitty discount scanner, and this came up:
P0420
Catalyst Efficienct
Below Threshhold
(Bank 1)

P1142
Manfacurer Contrl.
Fuel Air Metering

P1545
Manf Cntrl Veh.Spd
Idle Speed Control
Auxiliary Inputs
