Default Always somthing....

Driving down the road and the CEL comes on.... DAMMIT!!!

got it scanned and cylinder 2 is misfiring... lets all just hope its the spark plug and not the coil because I dont want to have to pay for all that shit... oh and apparently I need a new Temp sensor. FUCK!!

If it makes you feel any better, I don't even have a CEL. Good luck, and let's hope it is just a plug.

yea but yours is a project that is a good DD at the same time... so its kinda expected to be missing alot of stuff... I am going to be leaving for school soon so I want my car in tip top shape.

just got a call from north west shop and they said it was going to be 300 somthing for everything.

I guess thats not too bad for everything including labor.

I don't know what engine you have, but if it's a 1.8t the temp sensor and coilpack aren't more that $30 combined and shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to swap out. Vacuum hoses are easy as well, unless it's the PVC hose. That set of three hoses cost $60 apeice.

Yea it's always something with vw's...But that's why we love them ....Good to hear that they found the problem..NWG does good work, they'll take care of you!
