I like that site I seen it a few years ago.Ive always liked Vw's I just cant deal with them always breaking..(Or atleast the ones I owned)

Any stock bug is going to weigh anywhere between 1800 to 2200 lbs depending on whether it was a convertible or had air conditioning. Yes...earlier ones are lighter than the later model ones but still...a stock bug doesn't weigh 1600 lbs.

Check out this link and scroll through to page 77. It is a scan of a 1973 VW bug owners manual. The model 111 is a standard bug and is listed at 1830 lbs, the 113 is a super beetle and is listed at 1984 lbs and the convertible is listed at 2072 lbs.

I'm not bashing but the facts are the facts...

As far as this episode of Pinks goes...I hope the bug smears the Civic...

I used to drag race a 1972 Bug convertible. I had a very highly built 2275cc engine and the interior of the car was gutted but all the body panels were still steel and it had full glass and everything else.., it weighed at 1630 lbs.
It would run 12.2 quarters @ 114 miles and hour..
