Default offset question

i have an 01 jetta and im looking to buy some wheels for just this summer, so im looking cheap. rota fits the bill very well. the wheels i want are less than 160 each. sooooo here is my question!

rota seems to have an obsession with very high offsets. and the wheels im looking at are 18x7.5, and 18x8. both of which have an offset of et48.

now i know the stock offset is 38... i think and the preferred offset to make the wheels flush is around 30. but i just want to know if those wheels themselves would fit on the jetta without having to buy spacers. and if they wont, do you guys know where i can get spacers for a good price?

thanks
-kyle

You will probably need spacers for the front, I think they will hit the caliper (Unless you have a 2.0, not sure of the front brake size on a MK4 2.0), the rears should fit fine.
