lowering the 4x4

i want to lower my car and CANT make up my mind on what suspension set up i want....

any advice/tips/recommendations?

I had Nuespeed Race springs and Koni yellows on my 02 GTI and loved it! Before that I was running a Weitec adjustable setup with a blown strut

That was a good kit as well considering the strut.

how much did the race springs and koni's lower it?

Just wait another couple months and save up for coilovers. If you catch them on sale you can find Koni's for 850 shipped.

i would just go for a good set of spring and shocks. you'll never adjust them once you drop it. unless you do auto-x then i dont see a need for anything fully adjustable.

It lowered it 1.8 ish inches. I had about .5" of clearance between the fender and my 225/40/18s. the ride was excellent and it would handle increadibly. I auto-X'd it with the springs, I dont see a need for adjustability if you know how to drive

Yeh get coilovers i have bilstein pss and i took out the helper springs in the front and Im on 17s slammed...I cannot get my finger between the wheel and car...I love it...
