i would guess the mod of the forum..but if we split all the money and then shared the car or something..like one of us get it for a month and then the next person and so on and so forth..and could figure it could go by who paid the most..that person would get it first then the 2nd person who paid..etc etc..and we keep reciepts of all of it..but this project would have to be done on "trust"

I will sign up for the manual labor part of it. You could actually pick up a MKII with a 12V in it then go from there.

you could always sell the car after the build and then split the money....thats what the ford guys are doin...the honda guys, everything that is donated goes back to its owner...weve only got like $70 in it so far everything else has been free...but anywho like i said you could just sell the car and split the money....

I don't think selling it is going to be as easy as you think. Someone or a group of people will become attached to it. I think the best thing that can be done is that one or two people buy the car and the parts and people pitch in with doing work or giving spare parts they have lying around. When you mod a car it doesn't always yield much more money. Plus with the wear a tear of things breaking, it will probably just turn into a huge fight over who will get what. I have a tail light for a MKIV and I can turn a wrench. Every once and a while you can find people giving away parts on vwvortex.

see im thinking of picking up a shell or something from a junkyard and then someone else buy the motor etc etc..or something like that..but if everyone wants to be stingy about it then theres no way we can do this project..
