Default need advice!!

I drive a 97 Jetta GL (2.0) and my transmission just went out. I was thinking of doing a VR6 swap but I need to get my car on the road asap so that might not be an option. I was just wondering bout prices for a stock tranny new or rebuilt and where I should go. Thanx!!

if you can afford it, i would recommend going a head with the swap. youll have to buy a new tranny for the vr6 anyways so might as well spend the money youll waste fixing yours on the swap.

Check with www.vwfixx.com at the forums.. you can find a lot of shyt there for a VR6 swap. or you could just buy mine from me.. 98 Mk3 GTI VR6 87k on it 8g's.. .. Oh and for the tranny.. Check www.germanautoparts.com. I picked up a new clutch from them.. took about 4 days for shipping.. Free shipping over 50bucks.. so dont worry about shipping fees.
