Default HELP!!! Any VW certified techs or peeps good with electrical problems?

I have a friend that's having an issue with a 2001 VW 1.8T Jetta Wolfsburg. I'm pretty sure it's electrical...the car continually drains the battery for no apparent reason. He has had it looked at a few times by the dealership he bought the car from and they keep giving him the run around telling him they have no idea what's wrong. Please if anyone knows how to fix this problem and is willing to help let me know.

how long does the car sit at a time? does he lock the car when it does sit?. Does the horn sound when the doors are locked? give details of the times it has died.

It doesnt matter if its locked or not. It dies random times....its been at Reeves for days and weeks, time after time. Various techs have looked at it, and nothing can be found, No Draws, no shorts, no nothing.

I had something similar happen with my Passat. The ignition coils were bad and were draining power from the battery. I don't know if this is the same problem. I am just shooting you some ideas. If you haven't already, check out vwvortex.com.
