I hope so, it will be my first BMW and it seems really comfortable... Only thing is everyone I ask either says ownign one was great or owning one was the worst thing they ever did.... There seems to be no in between just really happy or really hated it.

My current car is a 1996 GTI 2.0L it has 99,000 Currently. I had the top end rebuilt by eurotech about 6 months ago. THe car is in magnificent shape. The interior is beuthiful and I have it professionaly detailed once a month. THe exterior is good paint is still shiny but there are some small chips on the front bumper.

Mechanicly the car is sound. I have had the oil changed ever 2500 miles and plugs done every 6000. Top end was rebuilt with new Waterpump and belts. has a K&N Panel filter and stock exhaust. No modificatiosn what so ever. (it did have a cone filter for a month die to trhe airbox developing a crack and replacement took soem time to come in.

I will probably be looking to get 3,000 for it.

I wanted a 330 because it is really nice and has some more HP but all the 330 I went to see had 60K+ miles on them. If I find one with low miles then I would get that over the 328.

I was looking at 2001..

Well I am tossing around this idea what do you all think... FOr a few thousand more then the 328ci I can get an 04' STI... My insurance will be higher and so with the monthly payment, but it will be a newer car with more power and better looks (IMHO).

What do you think... Also does anyone know much about the GTI 1.8T's??? How much horsepower and "out of the box" how do they handle and lay down power???

Hell anythign would be better then my 2.0
