dont get a 2.0 ... i have a 98 2.8 vr6, and i broke a crankshaft, and its automatic!... the bitch cost $1500 to fix.. VW's suck
never get a german car, the repairs are too expensive cause u can only use german parts to fix it.

How the hell did you break the crankshaft? How many miles were on the car when that heppened, cause they came with a 100,000, 10/yr powertrain warranty. VR6's are damn near bulletproof, I beat the shit out of mine all the time, and have never had anything go wrong. Did you not do PM on the motor or what? And of course it cost 1500 to fix, you would have to basically rebuild the whole motor. You can get a crankshaft for fairly cheap, it was the labor that made that so expensive I am guessing. And your rant about only using german parts in a german car, no shit, would you put chevy parts in a honda? NO.



Yeah I think I am going to go through with this Jetta. I'm not looking for speed and it has 90,000 miles on it so it should be pretty solid.
