Default boost controller question

I have a 01 jetta 1.8t and was wondering if anyone in here has a manual boost controller on their 1.8t. I put one on my car and its got real bad boost spike so i took if off. Plus i have heard that boost controllers for these cars are bad........and info would help

And another quick ques, i know the boost is controlled electrically on these cars so is there a way to trick the electronic soloniod to make it put out more boost??

youd want to buy a chip, www.goapr.com . that is the best and safest way.

Boost is electronically monitored, just get a chip. MBCs are not 1.8T's friends: you'd need to have .2 more liters and AWD then it is God.
