Anybody know of a company that makes an after market Mass Air Flow Meter for a 2000 VR6 or a Chip? I can't seem to find a desent chip for Jettas and they only have them for 1.8Ts

search on vwvortex.com, a lot of the people going turbo on the vr6 use larger billet maf

Man I did like a 100 searches on vwvortex and couldn't find a thing. I saw something on billet MAFM once before, but forgot what site I seen it on.

chips for vr6's will only advance timing some and wont make anywhere near the power 1.8t chips will because turbo tuning makes a ton more power than n/a tuning.

this is true because the boost is electronically controlled by the ecu.

PM the screen name c2motorsports on vwvortex about their billet maf's. there was just a 4" one for sale.

I have the GIAC chip, but it was already in the car when I bought it, so unfortunately I can't tell what kind of performance gain it made.

you would feel a little gain, like putting an exhaust on or something with a small gain like that. but you should be able to rev your motor a little higher.
