How does putting 18" S4 rims on a GTI that had 17's stock or possbly 18" Huffs as an option constitute wheels that are too small? Sounds Like you are a retard.

I put those same rims on my 17" stocked A4.

Pretty sure those are B5 S4 wheels, so they are 17's, not 18's.

 

Tough to call as they look almost identical. The 17's have a little notch in the side of the center cap so it pops off easy. The 18's which I have are notch-less. Clean wheels none the less as not many MKV's have them. I would say they are 18's. Good OEM wheel thread here.

If you look in thread you posted, both 17 and 18 inch come with a notch on the center cap. The widespoke avus has the notch in both 17 and 18 inch. The thin spoke avus does not have it on either diameter, so who knows what they are.
