When I first heard of this September Song in 1951, I was only 14 years old in Hong Kong. It was the first time I ever tasted falling in and out of love. I remembered My tears were streaming out on my face when I was siting alone in the dark that night. I was in love with someone whom we both knew we should not be in love , but we hopelessly were ! Never get tired of any of the old black and whites these movies are so much better than most of today's and that's because they so busy with special effects they forgot the story

The scene where she plays the concert is the best scene in the movie. Joan Fontaine totally sells it. I liked the cutaways to the wife, the son and the piano teacher. You can really ponder on what they were all thinking by their facial expressions-because she

was killing it on the piano. I think the emotions from the affair really helped her develop that polish she needed to be exceptional. Even her teacher had been impressed with her improvement in the dual practicing scene.

I was absolutely in love with Joan Fontaine at the time and I watched this film a dozen times. The song September Song and the Rachmaninov piano concerto at the end made this the favourite film of my youth.

A beautiful, moving, unforgettable movie with lovely scenes in Italy. I felt so many emotions watching the exquisite acting of both Fontaine and Cotton. Thanks for the upload. It will live in my heart for a long time!

I really enjoyed this movie, thanks for posting it. It doesn't quite live up to the emotions I feels when watching "An Affair To Remember", but it was very enjoyable, especially the sightseeing of Rome, Naples and Florence in 1950 and the wonderful music.
