76.3K subscribersThe Waco siege was a siege of a compound belonging to the religious group Branch Davidians by American federal and Texas state law enforcement and US military between February 28 and April 19, 1993. About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/160...​ The Branch Davidians, a sect that separated in 1955 from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, was led by David Koresh and lived at Mount Carmel Center ranch in the community of Elk, Texas,[5][6][7] nine miles (14 kilometers) east-northeast of Waco.

The group was suspected of weapons violations, causing a search and arrest warrant to be obtained by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The incident began when the ATF attempted to raid the ranch. An intense gun battle erupted, resulting in the deaths of four government agents and six Branch Davidians.

Upon the ATF's failure to raid the compound, a siege was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the standoff lasting 51 days. Eventually, the FBI launched an assault and initiated a tear gas attack in an attempt to force the Branch Davidians out of the ranch. During the attack, a fire engulfed Mount Carmel Center.

76 people died,[8][9] including David Koresh. Much dispute remains as to the actual events of the siege. A particular controversy ensued over the origin of the fire; a government investigation concluded in 2000 that sect members themselves had started the fire.

The events near Waco, and the siege at Ruby Ridge less than 12 months earlier were both cited as the primary motivations behind the Oklahoma City bombing that took place exactly two years later.

News media was moved so far back from the scene that nothing could be filmed.

All communication was cut off to the press to insure that there would be no
story of events coming from inside the building.

The bullets that killed ATF came from OUTSIDE the building, probably from
the govt killing their own as a sacrifice for democrats to later enact gun control in the US.
which democrat Bill Clinton did. He was not able to ban and confiscate all firearms at that time.

They had to "save the children" by getting them out quickly, and the ATF set the building on fire and killed all of them.

Before burning the building, ATF ran a hose inside and gassed everyone.

When the fire was over, ATF ran a tank back and forth repeatedly for days, destroying evidence and
pulverizing and grinding everything into bits. Satellite photos showed this happening. It cannot be denied.

According to the New York Times, Koresh wasn't especially fond of Roden, who he saw as squatting on his property, so he got a bunch of friends together and they invaded the sect commando-style, dressed in camouflage military uniforms and carrying military-style weapons. There was a gun battle, Roden was shot in the hand, and Koresh

was able to seize control of the cult. So how exactly does something like that happen without consequences? Well, there was a trial, but none of the eight attackers was convicted of a crime. David Koresh claimed he'd been aiming at a tree, not at Roden, and the jury believed him, or at least enough of the jury to result in a deadlock. In fact, the jury believed Koresh so much that a few of them actually

hugged him at the end of the trial. Now that's charisma. And even though authorities found enough guns on the compound to, quote, "hold off the entire...Sheriff's Department," no one was convicted of a felony, so Koresh and his cronies got to keep their guns. So why didn't the assistant district attorney decide to try David Koresh a second time?

He never really said, but he did once complain that he'd been, quote, "a black man trying to prosecute seven white men in a Southern town called Waco."

Florida: House Passes Constitutional Carry

Today, the House voted 76-32 to pass House Bill 543, the constitutional carry bill. It will now go to the Senate for further consideration. Please contact your state senator and ask them to SUPPORT HB 543.



House Bill 543, constitutional carry, strengthens the right to self-defense in Florida by recognizing the right of any law-abiding adult who is at least 21-years-old and legally eligible to obtain a carry permit, to carry a handgun without first having to obtain government permission. This ensures that citizens have their right to self-defense without red tape, delays, or fees. It does not change who is eligible to obtain a carry permit. It also does not affect previously issued permits, and allows citizens who still wish to obtain a permit in order to carry in other states recognizing Florida’s permits, to do so.
