well what was told to me was that a srt-4 is a 14 flat 1/4 car...and a fwd talon bone stock and 16psi with good driver should be able to pull that..dunno what a full out top end run would entail, but the neon doesnt look like that great car dodge wanted it to be. i think ill stick with my DSM and save $18k

its cool i wouldnt mind having either but cant beat 7yr/70k mile warranty though

They said go on three, but I didn't hear them. All I saw was the WRX starting to pull away, so I stepped on the gas. There is NO WAY a stock WRX will beat the SRT-4. Not mine at least.
I really think I'm in heaven now... I'm the first up with a kill video! Now the Harley Davidson edition seemed to be more of a challenge than the WRX. Couldn't tell unless we all lined up though.

PS. The SRT-4 was FULLY loaded with 3/4 tank of gas a 4 people in it. The guy sitting next to me in the passenger seat is nicknamed "Fathouse." Believe me, it was loaded down!

damn, i didnt know it was putting out that much torque... and i highly doubt the srt-4 has a chance against a wrx at the track. still i must give credit where credit is due, car looks pretty good and is decently quick.

*meh* WRX isnt even really sposed to be a 1/4 mile car. Everyone knows it was* meant for rally, ah well. It may be fast and it may be purdy but that neon IS fast but the WRX will still be running in ten years

I saw this video on the scooby forums of all places. They're pretty sure that the WRX had an auto tranny. Things like the driver not moving, the camera man hanging in the driver's lap, and just the engine sounds.... Auto or not, the WRX doesn't have that kind of go up top. The SRT-4 traps something like 7 mph faster than a WRX.
In other news, ESX just did 9.98 in a WRX with full interior at Battle of the Imports.

No, Im very sure as well as everyone else that dodge has made a fast car. A fast and cheap car. Which is great for the buyer market. And no one has made an excuse yet (well that Ive seen) about it winning. I'd say that you're the insecure one and need to chill out. Most of the posts here have been about "wow, that thing was nuts" so relax bro.

What do *I* have to be insecure about? I own neither a WRX, Eclipse, nor SRT. Did you miss the comments about "the wrx must have been an auto", or your very own "but the WRX will still be running in ten years", the comments about the talon driver sucking? Not to mention the countless other posts in other threads about "its still a neon". Not that I care either way, just most people on this board cant handle a brand new car that's fast if it isnt from Japan.

So what kind of car do you have then smart guy? Is it a domestic? Im willing to bet that it is. That's not the point anyway, the point is is that you're dumb and leave the arguing where it belongs (at the door). Do you know that guy in the SRT? Have you seen the guts of his car? Were you there when they were racing? The answer to all of these questions is undoubtedly "no". How do you know that his car is stock for sure? You don't. But it doesn't matter anyway because I know none of the people in that vid nor anything about what they have done to their cars. Neither do you, so stop arguing bullshit and keep your opinions.
