The Montana kid arrives in town on his horse and decide to explore town and after leaving a store he find his horse gone and mistakenly believes that the Blacksmith(Tyler mane) stole his horse and after trying to intimidate the blacksmith to no success, he decides to call him out but since the blacksmith has no gun, he can't kill him as lives by a code of ethics to not kill unarmed men. One of the townfolk says that he can

have a broken gun if he builds her a windmill, after a few days, The Montana kid begins to develop feelings toward her and the townsfolk and decides to stay for awhile. in the meantime, a roaming band of bounty hunters are on their way to the town to claim the bounty on kid's head and terrorise a small village to find his whereabouts. After finally getting a gun and getting it fixed, The montana kid goes to the blacksmith to

demand a duel and gives Jack the blacksmith the gun and tells him to draw while the montana kid points his revolver at jack but slightly moves his aim to miss jack, indication that he may want to die. The Montana kid demands that jack pull the trigger, in which jack does reluctantly put the gun does not fire. The Kid,inspects the gun and accidentally shoots jack in his rear, a wound that he himself had earlier in the film. around

this time, the bounty hunters arrive in town and start threaten the townsfolk to turn over the kid, in which they do not but point their own guns at the bounty hunters. Not wanting any-more bloodshed, the Montana kid tells them to take him and leave everyone else alone, The leader accepts this but one of the townfolk fires at them causing a gunfight which ends in the town's favour. the bounty hunters are taken away and the montana kid decides to stay in town.
