A working vacation takes two former lovers into an increasingly surreal world in this offbeat environmental thriller. A freelance photographer gets her first big assignment to document toxic waste sites along the U.S.-Canada border, and her unemployed ex-boyfriend is along for the ride. But failed romance soon becomes the least of their problems as their ill-fated road trip begins to circle in on itself. A prize winner at the Los Angeles Film Festival and the Brooklyn International Film Festival, ROAD is the first feature by writer/director Leslie McCleave, whose short films include award-winning BLIXA BARGELD STOLE MY COWBOY BOOTS (starring Michael Imperioli), AVENUE X and MEETING MARTY.

Certain death. Prematurely painful death. What it is that we are doing to ourselves and our children and our environment we are not in a position to tell. But doing we certainly are.
