great work BUT some info you have wrong, 2 interceptors made for the 1st movie and 3 made for the 2nd. The one you follow in your story was actually the clean film car and the others were used for camera work and stunts (cameras attached inside and outside the car (not very pretty to look at) one of the film cars/ camera car, was rebuilt and currently rests in a shed on private property in Castlemaine AU. so all in all from the first 2 movies there is a total of 5 interceptors out there some ware

I have always loved the Mad Max Movies and a few months ago, I saw a 1969 Ford Falcon for sale and had to get it! So I sold my car and now I daily drive the Falcon. The only 1969 Ford Falcon that appears in Mad Max is the final scene of the first one which in the video is at

. Too bad it is impossible to find a 1974 Ford Falcon in the United States because they were all made in Australia...

I just returned from the Dezer Auto Museum in Miami Florida. The car is still there. I drove my wife nuts because all I wanted to do was take pictures of it.

I worked on Mad Max II and afterwards could have bought the Black on Black for $850 but nobody wanted it and it was sold to Billy Coffey the owner of a Wrecking Yard in Broken Hill for the value of the engine and transmission only.

Good job mate I really enjoyed your video and the added benefit is everything you related is completely accurate because I'm a huge fan as well. I saw the original Interceptor at the Birdswood car museum in 1992 and still have my photos of it. Agree, bring it back to Australia where it belongs. By the way there's currently a replica Interceptor showing in Melbourne at the moment (https://www.acmi.net.au/exhibitions/screen-worlds/) which is well worth seeing because it's very very accurate.

This car is a real unicorn , still cant believe that nobody wanted it. If i had the money to buy it i would drive it every day like its meant to be and not be put in one place collecting dust and rust. This car has more personality than most of the people Than you sir for the great video and can you please make a video containing all the Interceptor V8 Engine sounds from the first 2 and ONLY real Mad Max movies

Monza front nose??.. not..I'd read the article about this car in my senior year in highschool in 86 in hotrod magazine..it has a mustang svo nose on it....but if you wanted to build on your self in the us...you can use a 1970-71 Ford Torino..has the same body..then use the 70-71 mustang mach1 hood then the mustang svo front nose... opinion from a 40+ years in Autobody and customizing.
