I always found the Eloi annoying with their vapid expressions and complete lack of intellect or sympathy. (This movie actually gives them a somewhat softer touch). As far as I was concerned, they were good for nothing else but serving as nourishment for the Morlocks, who at least were skilled builders and craftsmen.

Did anyone notice what looked like a desktop computer on a table amongst the artifacts? Very modern for the 70s!! I never saw or can remember personal office or home computers in the 1970s in Australia, perhaps other countries like America had them though!? This film was ok but for me, it was a bit too dark to see much of the Morlock scenes. It wasn't as cheesey as I thought it would be, but it was still a low budget film. But, thanks for putting this movie on YouTube!

The fact remains that the Eloi had become parasitic and worthless entities in this society, while the Morlocks were doing their best to maintain some kind of industrial economy and technological civilization. As a vegetarian, I do not concur with their dietary habits, but hey, if their source of nourishment were the Eloi, tough shit, man, happy eating!
