The Royal Air Force–bitterly maligned at the time by the Army–fought vehemently to deny the enemy the total air supremacy which would have wrecked the operation. During the war, American citizens loaned or gave THOUSANDS of guns to the British.

Now that the cowardly rulers of Britain have disarmed their own citizens, ANY country

can invade Britain with almost no resistance.

What so many people on both sides of the Atlantic ocean don't realize or care about today, is that for those days, Winston Churchill was considered a very old man. He was 65 when he became Prime Minister. AND, the enemy just a short 22 miles away. Tough, brave, gutsy old man. As a three generation American, I admire this man greatly.

I am still moved 'today' by UK's the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill's above message in a most trying time in the British Empire's history. I am an American of the States and would sorely regret being in any conflict against the British Empire as Germany learning in the 1940's. I as an American do consider and know that the US friendship and ally 'today' is one I am humbled and strongly thankful to have in place.
