I enjoyed this documentary very much and appreciate you sharing this. To this day, many still are not aware of the Tuskegee Airmen and their importance in assisting the Army Air Corps & RAF in WWII. It's a real shame that even now in the 21st century, blacks are still treated as unequal individuals in many respects. Will this country and/or the rest of the world ever get past racism and simply accept one another as equals, no matter the color of one's skin? God Bless the Tuskegee Airmen!

Another movie, but not historically accurate

This is a good movie for dramatics and a action flick only but not for near historical accuracy. Red Tails was way off on certain events and names. Especially the name of the main head man of the Airmen Benjamin Davis. Red Tails used a name Col' Bulluck, Bullard ( WHATEVER ). The name of the REAL HISTORICAL name of the Colonel was Colonel was Benjamin O Davis and the movie The Tuskegee Airmen (circa 1995 with Lawrence Fishburne) got right, Sorry Red Tails movie go back and do it again stick with history and save the drama. And another thing about Red Tails movie that is way off, in real life no soldier would go behind enemy lines to visit and court a woman that is a citizen of the enemy that you are fighting. (Yes the Italians was against the U.S. in WW2) If that soldier would get caught behind enemy lines they would arrest him for all kinds of espionage and treason and that's if you are lucky. This movie is good for a action flick, But for historical accuracy The Tuskegee Airmen movie circa 1995 is the one to watch. That movie was even advised by some of the real pilots of the REAL Fighter group of WW2 so much that even the history channel did an expose interviewing the real WW2 veterans of the Airmen that advised the 1995 version of the film.

you seem to forget that fascist Italy was against us but not the normal public. that was why Germany invaded Italy towards the end as they couldn't rely on the loyalty of the Italian people. I agree there's a lot of artistic licence for some bits but it is possible for romances between enemies for example German prisoners and English women many stayed at the end of the war married.
