First and formost John Wayne did not write the poem...he is only narrating. Second i made this to honor those ive personally known and those that went to my Church for a vet day sunday service. Why are you marching is an open ended question that means varying things to varying people that have served in the military. my focus in video is revealed at the end with all the family shots...most miltary folk will tell you its not country...or the flag...but loved ones that they serve for...and that was my focus as the creator...John Wayne symbolized american strength in the 50s 60s...the audience i made the video for related to his familuar voice...the poem is seperate from that...and the order of pictures was my focus
