I first caught this on telly in 1997 & it's always stayed with me. This is the first time that I've watched it since and I'm glad to say that it's even better than I remembered. It hasn't aged and how it didn't win an Oscar and a host of awards, I'll never know (-although I did hear that it can't be bought on DVD due to the 'copyright infringement' on the music used. If one of my tunes was used in this film, it would be an honour but I guess money means more to some people... THANK YOU for posting this!

Wow. Had seen maybe the first 30 minutes of this movie in 1995 when I was 11, unfortunately I had to go to bed cause of school the next morning. A year or two later I asked about it at the VHS rental store, and of course they didn't have it or couldn't get it. The movie popped up in my head every so often until today I found it here on Youtube, and was delighted to be able to watch it. almost 20 years later I finally get to see the whole movie. Thank you for the upload!
