A low budget film that could of been "Iconic" The widow maker's car should of been 1967 or 68 Plymouth Fury, That Junky Camaro looks more like a Vega. The 1975 Cobra Mustang @ 28:57 was also weak; Sandman should of had a 68 or 69 Mustang. The only two Iconic cars that where used, the 57 Chevy and the Chevelle Dylan drove. The scene at the car wash with all the nostalgic cars exiting was "classic". Anyway as you can tell from my comment the racing opponents cars needed to be done better, like the first scene 06:14 with the two punks paying off Dylan for a lost bet no race scene was even shown they should of raced a 1965 Studebaker or 1976 Gremlin. The acting was done well, the race scenes needed more time and effort, much like "Gone in 60 Seconds"

Great movie growing up. Of course if you mention the name to a youngbuck they'll think it's the Tom Hanks , Leonardo Dicaprio movie right well wrong.. Same name different story line and also unlike The Fast and Furious franchise this movie doesn't have exagerated scenes like jumping from one building to another ... This movie is great

I started driving in 1978 most of the 6o's muscle cars that was up for sale back then was really wore out. The street racing I got involved with consisted of using the street lights to initiate the race. We would cruse "South Grand" street looking for a race. Cruse slowly, slower than the speed limit a challenger would pull up beside you and slow to your speed both stopping at the red light waiting for the green. No words needed to be spoken unless a bet was to be made. My 1967 Caprice with a 327 Carter 4 barrel and 2 speed power-glide transmission did well but not well enough to bet money on. It was very fun and never got a ticket because we always drove around looking before racing. To save gas we would pull into a parking lot near the street to watch others race. That is where crowds would gather and hoods would go up to show off, It was how we rolled back then...
