Default Toyota Starlet - Import Bracket Racing in Puerto Rico

Here is a Highlight Video from my 2010 - 2011 season in Puerto Rico:

BAD BOY STARLET HIGHLIGHTS 2010 - 2011 - YouTube

My race car is a 1982 Toyota Starlet with a 1.8L 6 cylinder engine and a 5 speed manual tranny. It runs 12.80's and 12.90's to the 1/4.

The Starlet launches and shifts at 8,000 rpms and passes up top at 8,300...

Please excuse the spanish captions but this was a video geared towards the Puerto Rican drag racing community.

ENJOY!

I would guess the Mazda K8-ZE
Mazda K engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
But it would have to be swapped to the rear of the vehicle (since he's pulling the front wheels), to my understanding (and from what's on wiki) it's a fwd set-up from the factory.

Looks like it'd be fun on the street!
Not bad at all if you're running 12's with it.

Its actually a Toyota 1.8L 4 cylinder engine not 6 (the 6 was a typo). Sorry about the confusion
