i remember, years ago, when i had to be cleared to carry it. in order to to that, it was required that i be exposed to it. the way it worked, was that each of us was to be sprayed in the face, then we had to fend off an attacker and cuff him. after watching everyone with the snot running out of their face, and the drool, and what looked to be immense pain... i was pretty nervous when my turn came. luckily for me.... i'm immune!
