Duhh I should have posted this in here instead of Free-4-All.

Lets try this again shall we.

I have a good amount of up close (on the starting line and roof) footage of the race last weekend from Gainesville.

Problem is I do not have the capability to convert it from 8mm to the proper format to view it on line.

Someone want to do this for me soon ? I will get the tape to you and give you props for doing it. But I want the footage broken down and posted soon.

Let me know who can do it.

I can do it if its DIGITAL 8...I dont have the inputs for analog transfer. Lemme know.

I can also do it...all i need is that your camera has RCA outputs or somethng similar.

I can do 640*480 avimpg1mpg2.

Hey if you guys have any footage of the Titan Motorsports supra I would love if you could hook it up. I have a few videos of the 9.52@156 but the one we have is a little shitty at the end if anyone has anything better to send or a copy of the race against Ari Yallon in the finals if you PMd me it would be more than appriciated.

I believe you can. If you have a digital 8 camera. Digital 8 cameras can play back Hi8 and regular 8mm video tapes. The camera should be able to convert the signal digitaly internally. Ive heard of people using their DV cams as a go-between for analog sources even. Feeding analog (VHS for ex.) into the inputs on the camera and hooking up the firewire (or whatever Sony calls it...I-link I think) outbound to the computer. Shouldnt really matter too much if the signal was originally recorded analog.
