we used that on a crx and tried to blow it..thats stuff does work

Unless there was a control there's no way to know if it did work. When my first stock block in my Volvo blew, IT shot #3's rod out and blew the starter off. I drove it with a baseball size hole in the block for almost 10 miles, then idled it for a long time.
