Default 1995 Volvo 850 T5 Dyno Run

Hello everyone,

I'm a noob. Here is a link to my video at the dyno.

http://s261.photobucket.com/albums/i...Dyno112208.flv

Be kind, it's a ton better than stock... I have some good things in the works, check my thread in the newbie forum.

For those of you who I video taped, I'll be finishing those sometime early this week. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Cheers!

nice, but why dont you dyno your car in high gear, you can hear the car downshifting back to 3rd, all you have to do is let it shift then start your sampling, your numbers may actually be a tad higher

Carter at Pete Stop has had challenges with my cars automatic transmission. He does the best he can, but he deals with a ton of cars.

I wish they would let me drive the car. It needs to be a 3rd gear run, there are only 4 gears, but the gas doesn't need to be mashed down. Basically what needs to happen is that you have to get rolling about 60mph and then hit the gas hard enough to get the drop down, now your in third. From there you gradually push the gas feeling the torque max out until you hit about 105mph. That will fully rev out 3rd gear. I'm sure my numbers would be better in that case. A friend of mine with a simular set up dyno'd at 265lbs on the same dyno.

The Dyno has never been spot on. It's just a number anyway. I mean nothing bad about Pete Stop or Carter, they are great people too. My car doesn't get the best performance form flooring the gas pedal though. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there. Most boosted turbo cars are like that. There is a groove that you have to find.

It'd be cooler if it was a wagon.

Thumbs up for an 850 though.
