I don't believe a good rider locks up the rear tire before most turns. I could be mistaken but the GSXR(the one that had the cam on it) didn't seem to experienced. He was using the brakes way more than I think he should have. Downshifting would seem to have worked better for him rather than locking the rear up in most corners.

I slid my back tire out entering a corner on my bike by accident once and it scared the shit out of me.

 

having been around a corner or two I would have to say that those guys are tools...pretty good but tools all the same

 

the guy in the 1k needs some more seat time before he ends up on the side of the road . also i would never ride that hard on the street in my opinion

He wasn't trying to be smooth, he was trying to show off his skill of backing the bike into the turn. It was merely for the camera, for the ooh aah factor.

I wouldn't say they were tools, they obviously can ride, faster than 90% of riders out there. They're just complete idiots for doing it around innocents.
